The role
1. Core Linux Expertise (10+ years expected)
Look for strong, hands‑on capability in:
- Deep understanding of Linux internals (process management, memory, storage, kernel concepts).
- Expertise in system configuration & hardening across RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/SUSE.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience managing filesystems, LVM, RAID, networking, boot loaders.
- Capability to design and manage secure, scalable Linux environments.
2. Ansible Expertise (5+ years expected)
Candidate should be strong in:
- Writing modular, reusable playbooks and role-based structures.
- Deep understanding of YAML, Jinja2 templating, and inventory management.
- Creating custom Ansible modules, filters, or plugins (optional but strong plus).
- Managing large-scale automation of:
- configurations
- patching
- deployments
- infra provisioning
